I know what you are thinking...Its January and here is another blog about weight loss. Well you're right. Last month I had to find a new Primary Care Physician. I found one that I really love. One I can be completely honest with. She did some precautionary labs, which came back with some elevated liver enzyme numbers. I scheduled a followup appointment to review numbers with me and she told me that I need to get serious about losing this extra weight. I wanted to anyways. But when a doctors tells you that you need to it seems to hit home a little harder!
Good thing is...I know how to do this. I know how to cook healthier. I know how to go to the gym. Now I just need to keep working it into my schedule! Here is to a healthier 2012!!

A house of Sickies!
On wednesday night I made dinner and then felt wiped out. I know I thought Im coming down with something. Lilly already had a border line cold. Yesterday I stayed home from work....we were lazy. And Lilly was so cranky from not feeling well! I convinced her that chicken broth was juice to get more liquids in her! LOL! Last night she had an awful cough...I wanted to sleep on the floor in her room but was swayed to a million pillows to keep my head elevated in our room...which was good. I needed the sleep!
This morning I went into work early and busted out a bunch of work before I had to come home to be with Lilly. Shawn had to work. But atleast I got caught up on a bunch of stuff. I think Lilly is on the upward swing of things. Not nearly as whiney or cuddly as yesterday. Hopefully tonight will be a good night for her!
Between the days I took off last week and the days I took off this week and our vacation at the end of the month, I think I've pretty much exhausted my time off for awhile. Too bad I kinda like this staying at home thing while getting paid! Heck the working from home part really isn't that bad...either....:)

Catch up!
What a busy life we've been living lately!!
To catch you up....Lillyan is 15months old! I know right? How did she go from baby to toddler?? Time has gone by so so quickly! She has quite the personality these days as most toddlers do! She is developing quite the vocabulary as well! She had her 15 mo well check up last week and her pediatrician is quite happy with her development. He even mentioned that she was advanced. Which made this momma jump for joy! Its a great feeling knowing that even though Im working that my little princess is still thriving and that the time we do have together is making an impact!!
Shawn is working at Starbucks part time. Schmoozing the customers in true Shawn fashion! :) He really loves the customer interaction and lets face it Shawn loves coffee so its a win win for him! And us! Hello benefits and free coffee!! :) He is also working part time for Tiffany Home Designs. They do a lot of staging and about to launch Tiffany Home Furnishing....So Shawn will be running the retail side of it...selling furniture and home accessories! This has become quite the passion of his so he is quite excited!!!
I am still working at Mentor Graphics, although my role has changed and I am no longer at the reception desk. I now have and office and solely support the wilsonville facilities department. With this transition came a lot more flexibility. And the ability to work from home if need be.
We made it through the holidays! They were a busy but fun time!! We attended Christmas Eve Service at Grace Chapel and followed it by hosting Shawn's familys traditional Swedish Christmas Eve Dinner! Our good friends joined us! We had a great time! Christmas morning was spent having breakfast at my parents house. And then coming back home to host Christmas Dinner! We were very blessed this Christmas! :)
And now is 2012! I hope everyone had a wonderful new years!!

Hi Ho Hi Ho...it off to camping we will go!
We are camping this weekend with some wonderful friends and their family this weekend.
Now let me set the stage...When I camped as a teenager my parents took us camping. We had to haul our own water in! There were no showers. We plugged our nose and used the horrible outhouse as fast as possible. We might have been better off peeing in the woods! But it was an experience! And I am thankful that they enlightened our lives with our camping trips.
However, this trip is much more my style! There is a clubhouse. A pool. Showers. Washer & Dryer. At the beach. It may not be "camping to some" but there will be a tent and a propane stove so I consider it camping.
Now on to other matters. I may have slightly procrastinated. But thats okay. It just means that the next 48 hours will be a camping preparing extravaganza! Which is just a fru fru name for me running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Shopping, packing, preparing and hoping that I don't sit in hours of traffic due to last minute errands on my way out of town.
Okay no more blogging. I have lists to make, finish, and change and rewrite! :)

Let me admit something.
...I suck at blogging.
I want to be better I really do. I want our family to have a place to check in on all of our happenings. I want a place where I can share some memories with people. But I can't seem to update often enough. LOL.
On to better things...
Lilly is....9 months on Friday. Yes it is possible. And it makes me sad that she is growing up too fast! She is army crawling through our house. Not because she can't get on her hands and knees but because she doesn't want to stay there! LOL! She gets on her hands and knees. She rocks back and forth. And then she decides its more fun to crawl on her belly :) She says Dada quite well. And as for momma. I get a mmmmmm...but I know it means momma :)
It was 80 here yesterday...a glimmer of hope that us in the Pacific Northwest maybe...just maybe might has a Summer! We played in the Sunshine at the park. I sincerely believe that Wilsonville has some of the best parks. Im not sure that Lilly entirely enjoys the water features yet but her Mommy and Daddy sure enjoy playing with her in them :)
We are very excited that we are participating in Wilsonville's Relay for Life! Both Shawn and I have lost many family members -- mostly our grandpa's to Cancer! Its a very real thing for us. And we have the opportunity to raise awareness and give back to the cause! Here is the link to donate to us!
